| Abstract: | A simple model is set up to analyse the trade off between wage and hierarchical control in an efficiency-wage framework. The parameter restrictions derived from the theoretical model are thus tested using a pooling of cross-section / time series data on french manufacturing industry for the 1984-1991 period. |
