| Abstract: | If the trend was not already obvious, the pace of change in private banking is accelerating and the proposed merger between two of the industry's heavyweights, Swiss Bank Corporation and Union Bank Of Switzerland, emphasises the new dimensions and growth in the global wealth management business. The new bank, to be named the United Bank of Switzerland, will be the undisputed leading private bank in the world with a combined SF570 billion (USD401 billion) in assets under management for private clients. |
