Abstract:The subjects of this paper are home labour and telecommuting. The author of the paper focuses on the teleworking trend. The author also considers definitions; benefits for businesses and reasons for the increase in teleworking. The paper also pays attention to the ground rules and to challenges to teleworking. The author states that employee who is never late for work, whose productivity is unmatched, who is focused, needs minimal management supervision and saves the business money might seem like a manager's pipedream, so if a company wants a more productive workforce, then it should send its staff home. He states that teleworking is on the increase and answers the question why.
