Abstract:Roy Thomson Hall's acoustic enhancement is at the vanguard of a cultural renaissance that will change the face of Toronto's arts institutions over the next five years. The renovation of the Hall is the result of strategic planning, perseverance and professional cooperation. The issues of cultural density, rivalry, scale, audience satisfaction, artistic involvement and pride were vetted, both within the organization and by the stakeholders in the community, before the reserves of this not-for-profit organization were risked on the renovation project.
