Abstract:This paper discusses "habituation" to fine arts consumption. Markov's theory is used to describe the audience of an Italian theatre in their path towards habituation to fine arts consumption. Then proposed is a methodology for policy analysts and administrators in evaluating the strategies and policies of arts institutions with respect to their existing audiences.
