Abstract: | Multi-tenure reserve networks (here as: m-t-r-nets.) aim at connecting areas managed for biodiversity conservation across public and private land. Australian m-t-r-nets.' function and operation are investigated as perceived by the land managers (as: mgrs). More than 88 percent of mgrs. considered their involvement in m-t-r-nets. as a positive or very positive experience. A lack of resources and time for management were considered major limitations of these networks. The majority (80 percent) of private land mgrs. within networks were willing to be included in a national reserve system of conservation lands. |
