Abstract:The reduced cash flows of leveraged buyout companies, the drop in the prices of assets and the caution of junk bond buyers are reviewed, with examples of the companies involved. Most involved the sale of junk bonds to finance a purchase, and when the stock market crash came, high-yield buyers did not take up the shares. The impact of cost cutting is also referred to in the analysis of leveraged recapitalization.
