Abstract:This paper describes some strategies you can follow in dealing with a corporate consolidation at your company. By knowing how to recognize the signals and opportunities that accompany these events, you can emerge from a period of traumatic change not only as a survivor, but as a winner. The past few years have seen a resurgence of activity in mergers, acquisitions, and other forms of corporate ownership change. According to the research firm Securities Data Company, the value of corporate consolidations worldwide in 1996 increased to $1.14 trillion from $950 billion the previous year.
