Abstract:The objectives of this research is to determine the extent to which small organization are engaging in competitor intelligence activities. Methods of gathering data in this research include personal interviews, Internet (e-mail), and fax. Managerial implication of this research focus on the much-needed development of a competitive intelligence system, regardless of formality. Results of this study are calling small organizations to adapt to changing customer needs, competitive forces, and the macroeconomy. It is the author's desire that findings from this study will encourage additional research into the application of competitor intelligence systems among small organizations. The article provides a substantial list of references on this subject.
