The paper deals with recent trends in online education. The authors want to share 9 lessons they learned from their cyberspace trips. 1) Change your thinking from a teacher-centered to a learner-centered environment; 2) Learn the supporting technology; 3) Make your website interesting, fun, interactive, and user- friendly; 4) Personalize your course and build in a sense of community; 5) Utilize multiple methods of communication; 6) Be creative with online testing; 7) "Chunk" the work and establish deadlines; 8) Make participation count; 9) Supply fast feedback to students and weekly grades. |
