Abstract:This article tests perspectives of family-friend management research, using data from a national representative sample of workplaces across the Great Britain. The findings support the high commitment thesis that family-friendly management will enhance the relationship between commitment and key economic outcomes, as the relationships between employee commitment and productivity or quality are stronger in organizations when friendly management is high. Family-friendly management isn't related to the human resource results of labour turnover and absenteeism.
