| Abstract: | The total Scandinavian market size is currently about three million units. Sweden is the largest part and accounts for about half of the Scandinavian market. The market for white goods declined considerably in 1992. The markets in Sweden were negatively affected by the adverse conditions of the general economic environment. The situation has been particularly severe in the early 1990s, with a fall in GNP in two consecutive years. The market for household appliances is saturated in the refigeration and cooking appliances sector, where household penetration is close to 100%. |
