| Abstract: | This paper critically reviews japanization through analysis of the central role that women's labour plays in Japanese-owned entreprises. According to the authors, japanization is neither a adequate explanation of the nature of workplaces in which women work, nor a necessary goal for labour management in Japanese-owned entreprises. It is suggested that there is no aspect of japanization which it would be appropriate to label japanization. |
