| Abstract: | The paper investigates the effect of adopting different human resource systems on the organizational performance. The study presents three human resource systems based on an empirical survey on 86 banking institutions in Spain. The outcome of the survey indicates that even in an industry where strong pressure to adopt certain predictable HR practices is present, matching HR systems with business strategy is beneficial. |
