Abstract:By any measure, The Acer Group is a spectacularly successful business enterprise. Among personal computer firms, Acer holds the seventh position in the world market Acer's recent revenue growth broke industry records by increasing more than 50% in 1993, 70% in 1994 and 80% in 1995. The person behind the firm's success is Stan Shih, the man who regrouped and led Acer through a series of organizational changes. In this interview, Shih outlines his "21in21" vision of the future -- a worldwide federation of 21 locally owned companies by early in the twenty-first century.
