Abstract:Company value is the price at which an enterprise could trade in a merger or acquisition. Strategic management can play a crucial role in enhancing that value. The value-building task is to grow cash flow while increasing confidence in its occurence under all circumstances. In planning value-building strategies, it is important to balance risk with reward, always targeting a far greater reward relative to risk so that the essential business is never threatened. This optimization process is the hallmark of good strategy.
