| Abstract: | This paper empirically examines the market reaction to the creation of joint ventures and strategic alliances in general, and to technology motivated ones, with the British manufacturing industry from 1994 to 1999. Although the empirical results are mixed, they are consistent with the theoretical arguments presented in the strategic management literature. |
