| Abstract: | This survey looks at the market for savoury snacks in Russia under period 1992-1996 with forecasts to year 2001. The Russian market was valued at Rb1,166.8 billion in 1996 at current retail selling prices. It demonstrated 187% growth in real terms over the period. Fast expansion was due to the inevitable advance of multinationals who spotted extremely attractive field for their activities. The sales growth in 1997 is forecasted to be even higher than the previous year, and will start slowing down in 1998. |
