| Abstract: | This survey assesses the market for packaged, processed nuts, embracing sales through grocery and impulse outlets and through pubs and other catering outlets. The market was valued at £199 mn in 1997, having risen by around 6% since 1993. A rise of about 10% in market value at current prices is expected, but no increase in real terms. Speciality nuts and mixtures are expected to continue to outperform the market as a whole. |
