| Abstract: | This article notes some of the problems caused by excessive alcohol consumption, considering the responsibilities (here as: resps.) of individual pub (public house) licensees by undertaking a case study of a town's leaseholders and tenants. Interviews are used to discover their attitudes to alcohol service and their perceptions of ethical behaviour. It is revealed that all are aware of their resps., but their interpretation of those resps. varies greatly. |
