Abstract: | The study explores sex differences in the influence of facial attractiveness of applicants in personnel selection. The results show effects of evolved preferences regarding mate selection (preference for attractive opposite-sex applicants) and intrasexual competition (women chose females with low attractiveness). No major differences btw. HRM professionals and students were found. |
