SELECTION OF PERSONNEL
Language:eng
Abstract:A study of executive terminations has revealed that of the fired persons with good performance, 70 percent were fired because of interpersonal conflicts. Some steps are advised to make sure new managers fit into the organization.First of all assimilation should be managed. Then,an orientation plan in writing should be developed for the newcomer. After six months into the job,the new manager should prepare a one-page written assessment of each of his workers, highlighting strengths and problems. This is a good opportunity to help resolve any conflicts or find solution to a misfit. The focus has been on prevention rather than on resolutions. Viewpoints to the planning of employee developmental actions, and to the evaluating of the new managers are presented.
