Abstract:Many banks have downsized the importance of client-directed credit research, indicates the latest credit research poll. The latest trend is a hybrid model combining the desk focused research and published research capacity. The article also presents a client's point of view. In addition, the future of credit research is discussed. The article suggests that downgrading client-based research might be short-sighted. Finally, the results of fixed income research poll 2007 are presented.
