Abstract:At the initial stage of the reform of economic system, the government's playing a leading role in the reform of state- owned enterprises was an inevitable choice in China. But with the reform deepening, we can no longer stick to this model. As the reform of state-owned enterprises has entered the transformational stage, we must embark on the road of multiple-subject's pushing the reform of state-owned enterprises co-ordinately. The subjects of reform at the new stage mainly include the government, the people's congress, market, managers of enterprises or entrepreneurs, labourers and social intermediary organisations. This paper explores the reform towards pluralist subjects, including its reasons and mode, status and functions as well as the significance of the reform model of multiple-subject's pushing the reform of state-owned enterprises co-ordinately.
