Abstract: | Foreign investors are generally free to choose their mode of entry into the Chinese market from among such forms as equity joint ventures (EJVs), wholly foreign-owned enterprises (WFOEs), contractual (or cooperative) joint ventures, joint exploration and cooperative development. Frustrated with joint ventures (JV) performance and a volatile regulatory climate, foreign investors in China are turning to wholly foreign-owned enterprises in their search for better control and less risk. |
