| Abstract: | This article examines the cross-national relationship btw. female worker proportions and wealth-referenced underpayment using sample of 59 countries. The results indicate that in countries that have relatively small or large proportion of female workers, all workers are underpaid and merit pay and strikes are less prevalent. Finally, the weaknesses and strengths of the study are discussed. |
