Abstract: | How pressures upon persons in the environment, notably at work, affect mental health was studied through a survey of women who, working in teams, had been doing unskilled jobs in the food industry. Unfavorable effects of the two and three shifts, timing of commencement of work, early deterioration, domestic chores of married women, who have a full time job are examined. Hierarchical pressures have different origins: the working conditions, technological constraints, labor discipline. The lack of career prospects is due to the limited change to develop, to take part in professional training. Cumulative nature of the negative effects is shown. |
