Abstract:The differences between breadwinning and non-breadwinning married female employees are examined with regard to three major areas: job satisfaction, perceptions of organizational climate, and values. The data suggested that the breadwinners were more satisfied with their pay and opportunities for promotion, and they perceived a more favourable reward system in the organization. Family status of the employees may be a variable important in accounting for variance in organizational behavior.
