Abstract:Employees that want families need to be able to take parental leaves and return to their jobs and they expect their companies to respond to this need. If a particular company does not provide an adequate parental leave policy, the majority of working mothers are not going to cut short their careers. Most women today work out of economic necessity. If a woman finds she is unable to return to her job after having a baby, she will simply find another employer. She will seek a company that is flexible and supportive of working parents.
