Abstract:Direct gender bias occurs if a female- dominated job is assigned considerably fewer job evaluation points than those assigned to a male-dominated job of similar values. A study was made to examine the effects of gender-linked job title, percentage of female job incumbents, and current pay information on job evaluation scores.
