Abstract:A study was conducted to investigate the degree to which employee backgrounds are related to child care problems and work-related attitudes and behaviours. The employee background variables examined include gender, household employment configuration, dependants' care profile, managerial status, and availability of familial care arrangements during work. The research shows that employees' child care needs are diverse, multi-faceted, and changing.
