Unlike so many inner-city hospitals that are faltering because of the tremendous needs of the communities surrounding them, Greater Southeast Community Hospital is thriving. Strengthened by the leadership of a 47-year-old executive named Tom Chapman, Greater Southeast now offers a wide range of social services that at first glance have little in common with traditional health care.
