| Abstract: | The concept of issue-approach is presented to the analysis of relations between multinational enterprises (MNEs) and government. An issue-area typology is applied to MNE-government relations concerning inbound foreign direct investment in the U.S. MNEs become involved in several different political subsystems, each with distinctive sets of actors and typical patterns of interactions. |
