| Abstract: | The paper makes an analysis of the demand and supply of coal in the past years. It takes into account resource deposit, distribution characteristics, prospecting and development prospects, regional industrial policies, macro economic environment and other influencing factors. It predicts that coal output in 1994 is 1.26352 billion tons, that 1.28741 billion tons of coal is to be consumed with a gap of 23.89 million tons of coal between supply and demand. |
