| Abstract: | Data source issues in dyadic research routinely around the same persistent controversies: insiders versus outsiders , subjectivity versus objectivity, self-report versus observation, one partner versus two, first-order versus second-order data analysis. Yet much of the controversy in dyadic research would be eliminated if analysts would specify a priori whether the conceptual rationale for the research is to decipher the personal experience of individuals in dyads or to decipher objective patterns of personality. |
