| Abstract: | The author understandes entrepreneurial insurance as insurance for old age, death, and reduction in or loss of vworking ability, guaranteed by the employer to the employees, in principle from the employer's own means.Risk of old age and death is mainly protected; more rarely, cases of disability are insured.By this insurance the employer has taken over certain responsibility for the social status of his workers.In the article the particularities of entrepreneurial protection in Germany, Austria and the United States of America are mentioned.The most important part of the paper, however, is devoted to the possibilities and the basis for the legal regulation of the entrepreneurial insurance.The basis of such an insurance has been defined in paragraph 3 of the article 2 of the statute on pension and disability insurance.This insurancewill be regulated by a special statute; it is an additional form of insurance, i.e. a voluntary form of insurance. |
