| Abstract: | The picture of healthy growth and falling unemployment, accompanied by low inflation and a satisfactory external position, is quite rightly helping to dispel some of the gloom and doom about the performance of the British economy which emerged during the recession. But according to most forecasts, this pleasant conjuncture will not last for long, though views are divided on the exact scenario which will unfold. This myriad of views can be divided into two broad camps. |
