Abstract:There is a danger in becoming too mesmerized by your perceived competitors. Just when you think you know them, new ones pop up out of the blue and leave you in the dust. The successful organization conducts brief periodic environmental scans that include what today's official competitors are doing, but the primary attention is on doing whatever it takes to lead the race.
