Abstract:If we regard the proportion of total import and export volume in GNP or GDP as the indicator of assessment of degree of opening to the outside world, China's degree of opening to the outside world has already reached the level of advanced countries, compared with other countries in the world. However, it is only superficial and nominal. Taking account of such factors as supporting capability and stabilized development in economy, China's actual degree of opening to the outside world is still lower. In the years to come, the actual degree of opening to the outside world should be held at less than 12% but it can reach 18% by the end of the century.
