| Abstract: | The total output and total consumption of China's energy resources will fall by a certain margin in 1995 after rising by a wider margin in 1994 and will continue to rise in 1996. From 1995 to 1996, the supply of energy resources will exceed consumption slightly. But because China has to export a large amount of primary energy products to gain foreign exchange every year, the gap between supply and demand in energy resources in 1995 and 1996 will stand at 11 million tons and 7 million tons or so of standard coal respectively, a slight decrease compared with the gap of 15 million tons in 1994. The problem of imbalance between supply and demand will be alleviated year after year. |
