| Abstract: | By constructing an example, we demonstrate that strategic voting might have been responsible for the choice of Atlanta as host of the 1996 summer olympics. We arrive at other conclusions than Schauenberg (1992) in this journal due to differences in the underlying behavioural assumptions. More generally, the importance of information for strategic voting in sequential procedures is highlighted. |
