As managing director of Hutchison Port Holdings, the world's largest private port operator, Meredith covers the waterfront for Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-shing. Until this month, Meredith thought one of those waterfronts would be in the Phillipines: the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority had named Hutchison to operate a container facility at its free port. |
