| Abstract: | At California Beef Noodle King, more than mere noodles. A personal feud at the top has China's third-largest fast-food chain in turmoil. The noodles splattering against the window and dripping down onto the tables were the first sign that something was wrong inside. Regular patrons arriving at a popular American-owned fast-food restaurant in Shanghai last May were told by uncharacteristically rude staff that the place was closed. Outside, the hurriedly bolted doors, people gathered to watch a furious man in a tie hurling plastic utensils onto the floor. |
