Abstract:The experts think that the technological innovation is the motive force for the grain's growth in China, and urbanization, marketing and the growth of income are the basic reasons for the change of the structure of food consumption. According to the experts' forecast, the import of grain will increase in China in the years to come. When entering the 21st century, the total demand of grain will grow slowly. However, the growth of supply will make the net import of grain keep at the level of 40-43 million tons. China would not make the world hungry.
