| Abstract: | The characteristics of Shanxi province's supply of and demand for funds in the coming 15 years are as follows: 1. Although the total investment continues to increase, its growth rate will not be stable. 2. The growth rate of investment will be lower than the country's average level. 3. Domestic loans and raising funds independently will become the main sources of funds. 4. Heavy industry will still be stressed in the structure of investment. 5. The state's investment will still occupy the leading position. According to the calculation of a model at constant prices, during the Ninth Five-Year Plan period and during the period from 2001 to 2010 Shanxi's total demand for investment in fixed assets will be 270-285 billion yuan and 800-850 billion yuan with an annual growth rates of 15.6%-16.1% and 9.2-9.5%respectively. |
