Abstract:The equilibrium search model is likely to be an important empirical and theoretical advance in analysis of labor markets. This study gives a thorough analysis of the econometrics of the basic, pure search, equilibrium model. The study identifies minimal data requirements for estimation and the information of each data dimension. Empirically useful models will have more features and more sources of heterogeneity, non-stationary anddispersion, than this prototypal equilibrium search model.
