| Abstract: | Viewed from the generating mechanism of RMB exchange rate the relationship between supply and demand of foreign exchange market has become the basis of determining RMB exchange rate. Its trends should be judged according to China's international payment and analysed from the actors in the following two aspects: One is that the revenue and expenditure of foreign exchange of trade will keep a certain surplus. The other is that the capital account still keep a greater surplus. It is estimated that the state of China's international payment in 1997 will be good with more value of surplus than last year and so will be the overall trends of supply and demand relationship of foreign exchange market and the central bank will conduct effective control. RMB exchange rate will remain basically stable presenting a trend of up ward down ward fluctuation |
