Abstract:Are managers today less loyal to their companies? If so, can companies counter this trend? To retain loyal managers, companies must nurture an apolotical culture that places high priority on meeting career needs. Research findings reflect the complexity of employee loyalty and how it may differ among male and female employees and among those leaving and staying with their employers. No longer are loyalty to an organization and loyalty to a career mutually exclusive.
