| Abstract: | Life cycle assessment is a new tool to analyse and assess the environmental impacts associated with a product, process or service by multi-attribute product evaluations. For decision analysis approaches and tools life cycle assessment (LCA) offers an interesting application area. The study describes a method where the preassigned attribute weights are adjusted dynamically by making them explicitly functionally dependent on the attribute ranges. This would ensure the range-sensitivity principle to be followed, but avoid the problem specific weight elicitation. |
