| Abstract: | The concept of technology assessment is applied to the consequences for the environment, health, and safety from the introduction of new technologies into developing countries. The vehicle is a primer and workbook directed at senior officials in and out of government in those countries. Its purpose is not to provide answers to questions but rather to promote a more general, future-oriented awareness of the potential consequences of the introduction of new technologies. |
